At the end of the book, if you want to have more information about soccer, Jack and Annie explains the websites you could use, the books, also Jack and Annie teach how to use the websites and book properly. Also they give you some tips and pointers along the way at the end just to make sure they aren't forgetting anything.

I recommend for both boys and girls that are 7-10 years old. The reason I chose this age group was that this book is short. (123 pages) Soccer also has some challenging words for young readers. This book is an exciting and educational book that will teach and explain soccer to young readers.

Review: Do you like pirates? Do you want to learn more about them? Well, in Dirty Rotten Pirates by Moira Butterfield, you learn everything from typical pirates to the pirates you might not have thought existed. Buccaneers to Privateers, these pirates don't joke around; either do your job correctly or your life is in danger. This non-fiction book is phenomenal and has you staying up all night just to finish.

In Dirty Rotten Pirates there are pirates from Asia to Europe, and they raided and captured each other. Life was dirty and rotten for the average pirate. Barely a few pirates actually got rich and have a life of wealth. Rules were strict and either you followed them or received punishment. Punishment was brutal, being marooned, shot or worse. There weren't just one type of pirate; there were the proper pirates. But there are more. For example, there are many pirates from Asia, and also Vikings are also pirates. Pirates vary, as there are buccaneers- the typical pirates, and privateers- licensed pirates. A job of a pirate was very dangerous and could endanger the worker. For example, the Gun Master that is, the person who shoots and loads the cannons, had very dangerous job. Being injured was very bad, since germs weren't known at the time, and they didn't clean the tools used to remove limbs. So if the pirate didn't die from the surgery, they probably died from infection.

Dirty Rotten Pirates was extremely interesting and kept me hooked every page throughout the book. I was very intrigued and wanted to know more and more about pirates. I learned so much; for example, I learned new famous pirates more than Black Beard. I even learned there were female pirates. This book I would recommend it to boys ages 9-12, since it's about pirates. The information in the book was very impressive and kept me reading. The artwork was very fun, goes with the information, and shows what pirates look like in an entertaining way. I was astonished at how the book showed real pirates living and working, and how descriptive it was. I learned so much about pirates just from one book. Dirty Rotten Pirates is an informational but entertaining book with great description and artwork. I hope you love it as much as I did.

This book will help you become the healthy person you've always wanted to be while having some fun!

A Girl's Guide to Fitting in Fitness has many chapters. This first chapter, Why Getting Fit Matters, tells you the importance of why you need to get in shape. Basics of a Fitness Plan informs you on the fundamentals of your workout procedure. Eating Well mentions the things you should and shouldn't be eating while trying to become fit. You will find healthy breakfasts and morning exercise routines in chapter Waking Up to Exercise. Being Fit at School talks about joining a sports team at your school. On Weekends & During the Summer refers to how it is important to still workout and eat healthy but make the most of that free time. Next-level Fitness mentions how to become even healthier and slimmer by doing such as setting smart goals, joining a gym and doing high-intensity interval training once in a while. Stress-Busting Techniques mentions many effective methods to get rid of stress. This book includes all aspects of fitness.

In my opinion, A Girl's Guide to Fitting in Fitness is a useful source of information on getting real results. I recommend this 5-star book to girls ages 13-18 looking to get fit. My favorite chapter of this book is Stress-Busting Techniques because it definitely has an impact on my stress. I am very fond of this book because it gives me a lot of real-working techniques to get me fit and healthy. In summary, A Girl's Guide to Fitting in Fitness is unquestionably my favorite guide to working out!

The point of the book is to pick one or the other, and then in the next page it shows a real life equivalent of it and facts about it. For example, Teleport or Virtual Reality and in the next page I'll talk about atom transportation and oculus rift. On some pages, if you picked this more than that you are adventurous. There are 9 chapters, and the first chapter, Power Up, is about superhuman powers. The second chapter, Good To Go, is about going to places. The 3rd chapter, Help Wanted, is about jobs. The 4th chapter, Gross Anatomy, is about weird body functions. The 5th chapter. Misadventures, is about exploring. The 6th chapter, Friend Zone, is about your social life. The 7th chapter, Mad Science, is about scientific concepts. The 8th chapter, Offbeat Facts, is about doing things that will scare you. The final chapter, Absurd Situations, is about crazy scenarios. In summary, the entire book is filled with fascinating choices.

In my opinion, this book is really interesting, and it made reading a fun experience. This book is for both boys and girls because there are female topics and male topics. Some of the vocabulary is very simple and some is higher level. The book also uses slang, for example, LOL and OMG. If a person doesn't understand slang, then they would not like this book. Anyone who enjoys reading thought-provoking facts will LOVE THIS BOOK!

I thought this book was interesting in so many ways most of the facts surprised me. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to learn. Review: Ghosts, witchcraft and vampires galore! This book, as you can probably guess, is about creepy things. It's called That's Creepy! by Crispin Boyer. It's a book about the weird, creepy, unexplainable things that are being discovered.

Take ghosts. There's the legless lord, who is seen in a photo, even though he's being buried only a few miles away. You'll also see the specter of the Scottish castle, whose picture was taken for a creepiest phantom picture. Vampires are some of the most famous of monsters. Take the classic, Dracula. Some people, when they are afraid of vampires attacking them, they will dig up graves of so-called ÒvampiresÓ and found blood oozing from their bodies. When they saw that, they would drive stakes into their bodies. But in reality, when a body decays, it will ooze out all of its fluids. Another big topic was witchcraft. Witchcraft was a really big thing back then because they believed that witches were really demons in disguise. Eventually it stopped, but people still have fun dressing up like witches on Halloween.

I loved That's Creepy; it's a great book for Halloween and a book that I would think is one of those books that you almost can never put down since it has a lot of great stories about all the spooky sightings around the world. I liked reading about the supernatural ghosts and how the different roles they play in stories. I would recommend this book to 7 year olds to teenagers, and anybody who likes to read a good scare!

National Geographic Kids is at it again coming out with their sixth Weird but True book! This book has facts that will have you saying, unbelievable or no way but hasn't they all? Here is an example of why this book has some appalling facts! Did you know a prison in Brazil uses geese as an alarm system-they honk at anyone roaming the grounds! As you can see these books are easy and fun for kids to read. I think of them as scattered, colorful, yet informational encyclopedias.

I personally enjoy Weird but True book they have had me since 2nd grade! These books are easy to understand so I recommend the age range of 2nd grade and up. These types of books are what make reading fun; so personally I give this book a 10 out of 10. One reason is how tied in you get into the book; this book has so many fun facts to learn; you can finish this book in possibly a day; I know I did! Also it's exciting one is how much you take away from it. You can learn so much from this book I hope you will check it out.

Review: Growl! Bark! Pant! These are some things that rescue dogs do on the job. Sniffer Dogs, a nonfiction book, stars dogs and their trainers rescuing people in life threatening situations. This book tells how dogs and their noses can save peoples lives. If that sounds interesting, then you should read Sniffer Dogs by Nancy F. Castaldo.

Sniffer Dogs is a collection of real life stories that involve dogs that rescue people in frightening settings like fires, hurricanes, and tornadoes. This book is filled with photographs and stories of all kinds. For example, one story was about the 9-11 catastrophe when a girl was trapped on the top floor of one of the buildings that was hit. The book gives details about how one of the rescue dogs uses his fantastic sense of smell to find her. Is she dead or is she alive? Read Sniffer Dogs to find out.

In my opinion, Sniffer Dogs was really interesting, and the pictures helped me visualize some of the more complex stories. Each page kept me reeled in, and the stories sometimes made me want to cry and sometimes laugh out loud. I recommend this book to people 10 and older because of the complicated vocabulary that might be challenging for younger ages. Examples of higher level words are smuggling, boisterous, and biology. I would also say that this book is meant for dog lovers, because it is all about dogs. I wish that the author had been clearer with some of the events in the story. For instance, when she was describing the cone formation, I had to look at the picture twice to fully understand what she was saying. Overall, Sniffer Dogs was fascinating and kept my interest all the way through the book.

The book National Geographic Almanac 2015 contains sections on a variety of topics. One section, ÒOur World,Ó tells about events like the Women's FIFA World Cup, inventions like real light sabers, and animal species like a flying frog. Amazing Animals includes facts about animals. It tells about animal relationships, families, tricks, cute animals, and naughty pets. Also, facts about helping the environment are explained in the section Going Green. In addition, Awesome Adventure tells about jobs, facts about survival, and extreme sports. Furthermore, Super Science and Wonders of Nature have facts about space, eyes, rocks, disasters, weather, and biomes. Fun and Games includes different activities you can do. Facts about horoscopes, foods, languages, and mythology fill the section Culture Connection. Another interesting section, History Happens, informs the reader of presidents, cultures, and government. ÒGeography RocksÓ contains facts about continents, oceans, landforms, weird things like an apple-shaped racecar, vacation spots like Hawaii, and roller coasters in the chapter. In summary, there are a wide variety of sections in National Geographic Almanac 2015.

National Geographic Almanac 2015 was amazing. I would recommend it to anybody who is interested in nonfiction and learning. This book includes cool facts, photos, quizzes about each section, an activity section, and homework helps. The Almanac covers topics about everything from dolphins to Earth. My favorite sections are Amazing Animals, Super Science, and Culture Connection. It includes cute animals like meerkats, Amazonian milk frogs, harp seals, baby Emperor penguins, deer, and pandas and gross animals like the puss moth caterpillar. If you think that insects are gross, stay off of page 56. Those who are interested in science, history, geography, and nonfiction will like the book National Geographic Almanac 2015. It has fun family activities and cool crafts. Since so many topics are included, it has something everyone will enjoy. This book exceeded my expectations, and I hope you will like this book as much as I did.

Review: Have you ever heard of a parrot saving a little girl from choking? Well, it happened. You can find this story and many more in the book Unlikely Heroes by Jennifer S. Holland. It contains 37 inspiring stories about animals coming to the rescue.

Unlikely Heroes. They aren't just firefighters or policemen. They are animals. In this book, they save their owners, children, or other animals. It really can open your eyes as you learn how amazing these animals really are. Unlikely Heroes is for animal lovers. Some animals in this book sacrificed safety or even life.

I enjoyed this book a lot. It would probably be best for a 6th grade or higher reading level. The stories are heart-warming and they are considerably long and with advanced vocabulary. But the stories are very memorable and unique. The way the stories are written in the book are so suspenseful and amazing. I found it astonishing how they are all true and animals do acts of bravery like this. It includes where and when each inspiring story happened. Good news for fans of this book- there are 2 other books, Unlikely Friendships and Unlikely Loves. Animals come around at the right time just to do something shockingly great. Every one of them contains someone in danger, and a little furry friend with a lot of heart.

If you are into watching reporters on the TV as they report the newest trends ,then you would have a good time in the fashion industry. Have you ever heard of Courtney Allegra? You most likely have not, because she is a young and new designer. In ÒSo You Want To Work In FashionÓ there are 12 chapters of all you need to know about working in the fashion business. Other jobs include designer, stylist, production, retail and public relations, and model and photographer. I know what you are thinking aren't stylists and designers the same thing? The answer is no.

In the beginning of the book you learn about the basics of each job. In this book you will also learn about what kind of degrees you will need for each job. Every chapter includes one or more interviews with young people with big dreams on becoming a famous designer. There is a quiz that may help you where your creativity would shine in. Then as the book gets going it tells about designing. If your dream is to make the sketches for the clothing than this job would be perfect for you. I will say this again designing and styling are different things, that is why there two different chapters for them. Public relations is a good job for you if you like numbers. Retail is a good job if you want to sell the newest clothing. If you want to report the newest fashion or maybe you want to write reviews in a magazine, than working in the media is the job for you.. If you want to be the person who walks down the runway in the designer's newest clothing, you would want to be a model. If you want to take photos of the people walking down the runway than you would make a great photographer. The best part of the book is about fashion as a career. You can learn about where to go to become better at your job and learn that fashion as a career is different than fashion as a hobby. If there was a word in the book that had something to do with the fashion world then it should be in the glossary.

So You Want To Work In The Fashion Business is a great book and this book would be great to get for a person you know who loves fashion. If fashion turns out to be a job that you don't want, then you should know that So You Want To Work In The Fashion Business, is part of the Be What You Want series, and if they are anywhere as through as this one, then they worth the read. My favorite part of the book was the interviews because they featured teenagers and children that I would be able to relate to.

Review: Have you read The Hobbit or Lord of the Rings by J.R.R.Tolkien? If you liked those books then you will like Mythmaker. Mythmaker by Anne E. Neilmark describes Tolkien's Journey and inspiration to write his books.

In Mythmaker we learn all about Tolkien's life. The book begins with him being a child in Africa climbing a tree. Later they move to England, and Tolkien's father dies. Tolkien's mother teaches him and his little brother, but soon his mother dies and they are taken to a Catholic orphanage and are kept safe by Father Francis. Later Tolkien meets his love, Edith at the orphanage but Father Francis will not let him marry her or contact her so he can focus on his studies to get into the Oxford University. Although he is accepted and earns his degree he is pulled away for war before he can marry Edith. Eventually however he is able marry her and raise a family. Through learning about Tolkien's life readers will also learn about his inspirations for writing some of the most famous books in history.

Mythmaker is perfect for readers of all ages. Anne Neimark is an excellent writer and she shared the story of a fascinating person who became an amazing writer that wrote about all kinds of tales filled with mythology. Her easily understood and interesting writing style keep readers enthralled. Therefore Mythmaker is an all around great book.

Review: Do you like amazing animal stories? Well, then 125 True Stories of Amazing Pets is the book for you! This book is filled with exciting facts about some of the most unusual pets.

125 True Stories of Amazing Pets will blow your mind. This book proves that there are more animals that are amazing yet to be seen. This book has many subheadings that you can get the general idea what the stories are about. But the stories will yet amaze you. One of the stories had a bunny that was 4 feet tall. That's almost as tall as me!

This book would be great for 5-12 year olds. There may be a few hard words every now and then but it's not a big deal. It is a fascinating book so it won't creep them out or anything. Even if you don't like animals that much, you will like this. I recommend this book to everybody in the world because who doesn't find amazing things amazing?

In this book you will travel through the wonderful world of fashion. You will learn about famous designers, fashion through times, and learn about key fashion must-haves.

In Fashion Style Book you will learn all about fashion in a few short chapters. The first chapter is about famous designers like Channel. Not only do you learn about how the designers became famous, you learn a short summery on there life before fame. The next chapter is about fashion through time. Do you ever wonder what people wore in the 1990's? You will find out that information and more in this book. You can travel through the greatest fashion times in history. The next chapter is about fashion must-haves and the different types of them. For example there is more than one type of denim jeans. Fashion Style Book will teach you the main types if denim jeans and what looks best with them. The next and last chapter has heaps of activities. There are two main activities. One is a quiz. The quizzes will help you find your inner fashion sense. The other main activity is creating your own designs. This chapter is great because you have 4 pages to place pictures that you have printed or cut out from a magazine. That is called a mood board. At the end of the book there is a fashion dictionary. That part of the book is there so you can fully understand what the world of fashion is talking about.

I recommend this book for girls ages 10-14. I chose that age range because of the vocabulary. This book has a high reading level. So it would not be good for younger kids because they might not be able to understand the vocabulary. They also may not be as interested in fashion as older girls are. I liked this book because it taught me how to look great while feeling comfortable. I also was also able to learn about designers I admire. This book would be great to read with friends. I think that Fashion Style Book is such a great book because you can be up to date with the latest fashion trends. Robyn Newton, Gillian Henney, and Amy Marks are amazing authors. I have never heard of these three authors but after they wrote this book, I will definitely look into more books written by any of them.

Everything Dinosaurs teaches you about some dinosaur superstars such as the Microraptor. It also looks into different ages which build off of larger periods of time. For example, the Jurassic Period is in the Mesozoic Era. Readers will also learn who, who dug them up. In addition, Everything Dinosaurs will also teach you about fossils and archaeology. For instance, you will learn about types of fossils, who, and how they dig them up!

This book can be for anyone, but mostly younger kids. The book is also very factual and I recommend Everything Dinosaurs to people who like dinosaurs and archaeology. It's perfect for anyone who likes to learn about the past, through logical or factual books!

Review: Boom! There goes the bullet along with Brutus. Although it is dangerous, to Brutus it is like a game (luckily he never caught any bullets). The book Patriotic Pals: Tales of Civil War Dogs by Chris Stuckenshneider, is about dogs that helped in the Civil War.

In Patriotic Pals, Chuck and his poodle friend (Chuck is also a dog) go on a road trip to many historical museums and military parks. There they find many different dogs that have helped in the war. For example, one dog Brutus collected bullets, and he alarmed the regiment when enemies were nearby. In Patriotic Pals you will find interesting facts about different dogs that helped and served in the Civil war.

Patriotic Pals is intended for ages 8-10 because it contains some words that may be difficult for younger children. The author also makes the setting very clear. For example, on page one the book states the dogs are at the Missouri History museum in St. Louis. Patriotic Pals provides many descriptive words that help readers understand the book even more. I love how the author wrote the story in first person, which makes it far more interesting than it would have been in 3rd person. Learning about the role of dogs in the Civil War makes for a unique story. Readers can learn how helpful everyone, including dogs, was in the Civil War. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn facts about the different roles of dogs in history.
